Description
A specialized infrared photography filter designed to produce deep red vegetation while maintaining soft blue skies. The resulting palette creates a dramatic false-colour infrared look with strong chromatic separation between foliage and sky.
The filter maintains clean highlight–shadow separation, avoiding colour cast in shaded areas and producing stable tonal rendering across different lighting conditions.
Designed for full-spectrum cameras, Crimson is particularly suited to landscape and architectural photography where bold vegetation tones enhance visual impact.
Handmade in Barcelona, each filter is carefully assembled and inspected to ensure consistent optical performance and long-term reliability.
Key Features
> White Balance (WB): Recommended to set white balance on white for optimal color accuracy. Some camera systems may benefit from warm-grey or cold-grey toned WB.
> Coating: High-quality optical glass with nano coating to improve light transmission and reduce internal reflections.
> Anti-reflective treatment: Due to filter construction needs, this filter is not treated with anti-reflective properties.
> Format: Screw-in filter with standard photographic thread for direct mounting on lenses. Due to the filter’s thickness, lens cap retention may be reduced or not possible on some lenses. The filter ring has been kept as thin as possible to minimize the risk of vignetting.
> Hot spot control: Hot spot significantly reduced and better controlled compared to classic 550nm and 590nm infrared filters.
